There’s something I want to talk to you about that sits underneath everything in your business… and it’s the part that no one really teaches you first.
You already know how much you care. You love design. You love creating beautiful spaces that genuinely change how your clients live. That part comes naturally. But getting paid what you’re worth? That’s where it starts to feel uncomfortable. And I want you to know—you’re not alone in that.
Because before any pricing strategy works… before any system clicks into place… there’s a deeper piece that has to shift.
The Story You Carry About Money
Whether you realize it or not, you have a “money story.” We all do.
It’s the collection of beliefs you grew up with—the things you heard about money, success, wealth, and what’s “reasonable.” And most of the time, those beliefs are rooted in scarcity. Ideas like “money doesn’t grow on trees,” or “you have champagne taste on a beer budget,” or even “if I just work harder, it’ll pay off.”
Those thoughts don’t just sit quietly in the background… they shape how you price, what you offer, and what you’re willing to ask for.
And here’s the truth: those beliefs are often completely out of alignment with the clients you want to serve.
Understanding Your Client’s World
Your ideal luxury client doesn’t see money the way you might.
They’ve grown up—or learned—to operate from a place of abundance. They expect quality. They value experience. They aren’t looking for the cheapest option—they’re looking for the right one. The best one. The one that solves their problem beautifully.
And this is where things can quietly go off track.
If you’re filtering your design choices through your own discomfort with price… if you’re holding back the most beautiful option because it feels “too expensive”… or if you’re trying to make yourself more appealing by being cheaper… you’re actually moving further away from the client you want.
Because being less expensive isn’t impressive to them. It’s confusing.
Why You Must Shift First
This is the part I really want you to hear.
You don’t become a high-end designer after you land the high-end client.
You become that designer first.
It starts with shifting your beliefs about money, your value, and what’s possible for you. Because if, deep down, you don’t believe you’re worth a $50,000 fee… you’ll never be able to say it out loud with confidence. And your client will feel that.
But when you truly understand the value of what you do—the problems you solve, the decisions you manage, the transformation you create—everything changes.
You stop shrinking. You stop editing yourself. You stop designing from fear.
And instead, you begin to lead.
Stepping Into Your Value
When you step into that role, your job becomes very clear.
You guide the budget. You present the best solutions. You offer your expertise fully—without holding back. And when it’s time to state your fee, you say it simply, clearly, and confidently.
No hesitation. No apology.
Because this isn’t about asking for too much.
It’s about finally allowing yourself to receive what your work is truly worth.
And that shift? That’s where everything begins to open up—for your business, your clients, and your life.
So take a moment to reflect on the beliefs you’ve been carrying. Ask yourself if they’re actually serving the business you want to build.
And if they’re not… you have permission to choose something different.
Because you are absolutely capable of designing something beautiful—and getting paid well for it.

Until then, design something beautiful… and get paid what you’re worth.
With love,
