How do you move your interior design business upmarket?
In this episode, I’m sharing everything I know about moving upmarket and what it takes to shift your mindset as you become a high-end designer.
As interior designers, we usually start our businesses by hustling. We take every single job that falls at our feet. That hustle is an effective way to start a business, but it’s not an effective way to move upmarket. If you keep taking every job that comes your way and working longer and harder hours, you’re not going to have the time and energy to focus on up-leveling your business.
If you feel like you have to keep working more and more in order to succeed, I’m here to tell you that that’s not true. Let’s unpack it in this episode and find out how to take your business upmarket.
Topics We Cover in This Episode:
- Why you shouldn’t be trying to work more hours
- How to shift your mindset about moving upmarket
- Getting comfortable charging high-end prices
- Knowing your worth
- Creating the right environment for success
- Surrounding yourself with the right people
- Balancing negativity with positivity
- How to attract high-end clients
You attract the same energy that you put out into the world. When you up-level your mindset and environment, you also up-level the clients and jobs that come to you. If you try applying something from this episode, I hope it brings you the results you’re hoping for. It won’t happen overnight, but I know you will see the benefits in your life.
