What is getting in the way of being paid what you’re worth?
In Part 1, we discovered that the main reason designers don’t get paid what they’re worth is that they aren’t comfortable talking about money. We talked about how to fix this pricing challenge, but there’s more to be said, so I’m back with Part 2.
In this episode, we’re taking a look at the support you need from yourself and from the people surrounding you in order to feel comfortable charging more. Once you get comfortable talking about money, you also have to get comfortable charging large sums for your work, and that’s really difficult at first!
Join me for a discussion about creating the right mindset and support system for you to overcome pricing challenges in your design business.
Topics We Cover in This Episode:
- How to improve your self-worth
- The value of getting the support you need
- Identifying attitudes that are holding you back
- The importance of your environment
- How to surround yourself with the right people

- Taking baby steps when you need to
This episode, combined with Part 1, will give you a solid foundation to start overcoming pricing challenges and get paid what you’re worth as a designer. You’ll learn how to stop avoiding conversations about money and start confidently charging high price tags for your work.
It’s time to get paid what you’re worth! I know you deserve it, and I hope you know it too.
