[Video] Best Community

Today I want to share that I am still excited and glowing from leading our recent two-day Growth Retreat. It was such an amazing experience to lead our creative, energetic, and lead-from-the-heart designers through two days of learning, connections, and ah-ha moments.

But do you know what everybody says was the very best part?

It was the connection with community.

It was being in a place where you could talk freely with other designers. Where you didn’t have to worry about someone not being nice, one-upping you, or criticizing you. You could talk about pricing a job without worrying about somebody making you feel less than or even silly.

It’s an incredible experience to be among others who understand you. And it doesn’t seem to matter where you’re from. We all have the same challenges, and it also doesn’t matter where you are in your design business. You could be brand new and just starting out. You could be just now stepping into big jobs and opening up a big practice. Or, you could be someone who’s been around forever and just loves the business.

We all deal with the same things – money issues, crazy, goofy clients, learning to create fees that pay us what we’re worth, and sharing the joy when it all works.

Watch the video above, where I talk about the joy of the community we have here at Interior Design Business Academy. It’s really lovely, and I am so blessed and grateful to be a part of it. I get to lead these designers into the next stages of their business – lucky me!

If you’d like to learn more about joining our wonderful community of designers, check out the resources on our site.

Until next time, design something beautiful and get paid what you’re worth.
